I learned about Xword Grammar from: FIT in 1974-5 after which I took allen's "Sector Analysis" and "Advanced Sector Analysis" ColumbiaTC along with an "Educational Tests and Measurements" course at Rutgers--  X-word Grammar has interesting possibilities for objective writing assessment. 
Where I've used Xword Grammar: My Freshman developmental courses and business writing courses, a grad course in writing for professionals and a Graduate on-line course in Applied Linguistics for our MS in Education majors. It works everywhere.
Materials that I use: Deakins, The Tapestry Grammar for the Graduate course in Applied Linguistics. The 9/16 tasks task sheet from the old days is very helpful. I also wrote some of my own for the business writing application.
I am interested in: Creating a workbook/grammar that would teach the system by application and explain how the grammar can be applied to make writing better, rather than just teaching structure for its own sake.

Ahad learned about Xword grammar from Linda Ann Kunz, whom I had the pleasure of talking to a number of times. Louis Inturrisi also gave me permission to reprint his book for sale at our college in the early 1990s.

I learned Xword grammar from the late Linda Ann Kunz at Lehman College. I loved it so much that it became the subject for my Master's Thesis. I am currently in the process of creating my own materials. I often consult the site for ideas.

I am an Adult ESL instructor at an adult high school in Las Vegas. I become interested in X-word grammar while I was searching the web to figure out to reduce my Beginning ESL class to a 20 day lesson plan which repeats. While researching grammar, I stumbled upon X-word grammar, and joined this group, and started reading about it.
